"We'll send you to the SVO": Vologda official gets into a scandal over her daughter

The video of Shevtsova's daughter Ksenia turned into a scandal and caused heated discussions. She published the video on social networks, which was seen by residents of the region, but soon the story reached the federal level.

"Are you nuts, dude? Do you know who my mom is? The mayor! (We'll send you to the SVO)," the captions in the video read.

Apparently, this threat was addressed to an unknown person, whom the girl wanted to take revenge on for something.

As noted by the media, at first in the comments under the video, which began to be published on social networks, messages appeared that it was fake. Shot specifies that Ksenia has already cleaned up her accounts, but she was unable to prevent further distribution of the scandalous video. It is noteworthy that regional media practically do not cover the story.

Later, the official admitted that the video really existed. She prudently disabled comments on her accounts. In the video message, she emphasizes that her daughter is a "child" and made a mistake.

"I want to clarify the situation with the video that was distributed on the Internet. Our whole family offers our sincere apologies to those people whose feelings were hurt by this video. A deep bow to the guys who are now in the SVO zone and defending our homeland at the cost of their lives. Our children make mistakes out of stupidity, inexperience, but we need to recognize and correct these mistakes in time, so we had a serious conversation with the child," Shevtsova says.

Local residents called on the head of the district to resign because of the scandal, but she refused, saying that she loves the Motherland and will continue to fulfill her duties. According to her, they are trying to use the "child" as a political weapon.

"There is nothing more terrible than using children as a political weapon," she said .

It is worth noting that Shevtsova has held the position since October 2024 - before that, she was deputy head of the Veliky Ustyug District. According to Mash , her daughter posted the video on social media at the same time.

The day before, the disgraced head of the district published a photo with the governor of the Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov.

State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev, in a comment for "Putin on Telegram," called the video bragging and also reminded about the responsibility of parents for raising children. He emphasized that the official's daughter is an adult. The parliamentarian added that officials should treat their fellow countrymen with respect, and public opinion is an important component of their work.

"We don't know how many times this has happened, but the fact alone is enough to trigger a reaction. But something like 'if I send you there', for that you should be hit on the ears," Khamzaev expressed his opinion.

The head of the League for Safe Internet, Ekaterina Mizulina, noted the request of the residents of the Vologda region for Shevtsova's resignation, as well as the official's insolent tone, who is trying to pass off the people's demand as a political weapon.

"In my opinion, it's high time to write a letter of resignation. And her place could be taken by a member of the SVO," she suggested .

Journalist Yuri Podolyaka drew attention to the official’s tone.

“Moreover, what strikes me most in this story is not the daughter’s behavior (everything is clear there – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree), but the behavior of the mother, who still has the audacity to accuse someone of something,” he emphasized .

HRC member Marina Akhmedova believes that the video could indeed have been promoted by the official’s opponents, but it was her daughter who made the video.

"I think there is nothing more frightening than raising such a 19-year-old 'child'... It is not the first time I have noticed: the lower the official's flight, the more arrogance he and his offspring have. Well, if that is the case, then there is nothing more frightening than uttering routine words like 'a deep bow to our guys'. I still believe that such statements by my daughter are not a one-time mistake, this is pure arrogance cultivated in the family," Akhmedova added .

Those commenting on the scandal also have questions about the positioning of the SVO by the official's daughter, since "sending" is designated as a means of punishment. The story continues to develop, but Shevtsova is not yet going to give in and voluntarily resign from her position.
